Aftercare Instructions
-
First 24 Hours:
Gently blot the treated area with a clean tissue or gauze to keep it dry. Do not rub. Blot as needed to remove lymph fluid and prevent buildup.
Days 1–7:
Cleanse the area gently 1–2 times daily using a mild antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Pat completely dry with a clean towel or gauze — do not rub. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of the provided ointment up to three times per day. Only use the ointment given to you. Do not apply any other products to the treated area.
Do not pick, scratch, peel, or rub any flaking or scabbing as this can cause pigment loss and scarring.
For the First 7 Days, Avoid:
Makeup directly on or in the treated area (makeup around the area is fine)
Saunas, steam rooms, excessive sweating, and heavy workouts
Swimming pools, lakes, or hot tubs
Dirt, dust, or anything that may contaminate the area
Any skincare products, serums, or creams other than the provided ointment
Keep the area clean and free from anything foreign to reduce the risk of infection.
After 7 Days:
You may resume your normal routine, including regular skincare and makeup application to the treated area, unless otherwise instructed.
Proper healing ensures the best color retention and overall results. If you experience unusual swelling, discharge, or signs of infection, contact Lene Beauty immediately.

Proper aftercare is essential for beautiful, even healing and long-lasting color retention.
First 24 Hours:
Gently blot the lips with clean gauze or tissue to remove any lymph fluid. Do not rub. Keep the lips clean and lightly moisturized using the ointment provided.
Days 1–7:
Cleanse the lips gently with lukewarm water and a mild antibacterial soap once or twice daily. Pat dry carefully- do not wipe. Apply a thin layer of the provided ointment frequently throughout the day to keep the lips consistently moisturized. Lips heal best when they are hydrated. Reapply as needed to prevent dryness or cracking.
Do not pick, peel, bite, or scratch any flaking skin. Allow the lips to shed naturally to avoid pigment loss or uneven healing.
Cold Sore Awareness (Very Important):
Any trauma to the lips - including tattooing - can trigger a cold sore outbreak, even if you have not had one in years. If you feel tingling, burning, swelling beyond normal healing, or see signs of a developing cold sore, contact your primary care provider immediately for treatment. Early treatment is critical.
Lanae Beauty LLC is not responsible for cold sore outbreaks triggered by the procedure.
For the First 7 Days, Avoid:
Makeup directly on the lips
Kissing or friction on the lips
Spicy, overly salty, or acidic foods if they cause irritation
Excessive sweating, saunas, or steam rooms
Swimming pools, lakes, or hot tubs
Any products on the lips other than the provided ointment
Keep the lips clean and free from foreign products to reduce the risk of infection.
After 7 Days:
You may return to your normal routine. Continue keeping lips moisturized regularly, as hydration supports long-term color retention.
If you experience unusual swelling, pus, fever, or signs of infection, seek medical care and notify Lanae Beauty LLC.
